New Press Progress Report

Disassembly and preparation of the new press and related equipment now located in California will begin July 16, 2010. A rigging company has been selected to perform this work as well as reassemble the press here in Garden City.

A new saw and saw table will be purchased for the new line, in addition to a hydraulic shear.

The first truckloads of equipment will begin to arrive on or before the week August 9. The Rigging crew will work 7 days a week until the installation is complete. Target date for the first push is October 1, 2010

The work to prepare the site for the press will begin shortly. All of the items east of the 1800 ton press must be relocated. Some items will be moved to permanent homes other items to temporary locations until the new press is up and running.
- The production saw and bender will be moved back to shipping area.
- Die storage and the maintenance crib will be moved to the vacated saw area.
- Billet storage will be moved outside in the fenced area along Venoy road. The addition of a concert pad is being poured for this site.
- Employee lockers will also be relocated during this time. A location to be determined

The north east truck dock will be eliminated and closed in to create additional space for the new line. This work will begin as soon as building permits are approved by the city.

There will also be a small addition at the south east corner (QC office wall) to create a trucking isle for movement of finished goods to shipping or paint departments
